About

GrammarBrain is the home of the English language. Our goal is to provide the most authoritative information about the English language. Please read our editorial policy to learn how we fact-check every article before publishing.

Our goal

English is one of the most frequently spoken languages across the globe. Although, English can be difficult to comprehend. Certain words, phrases, and connotations behind English words can be confusing for those who either already know English or plan to learn it.

As the digital era begins to shift how we communicate, our goal is to provide the most up-to-date, fact-checked information about the English language.

We believe so strongly in the need to preserve the English language that we started a scholarship to support these efforts.

Our sourcing policy

To provide our readers with authoritative content, we exclusively use reputable sources to uncover the keenest insights. We will never publish a fact or data point without reviewing it for authenticity and authority.

Our data sources include:

  • Legitimate linguistic resources (Wiktionary, Webster’s, and more).
  • College and university-level research papers.
  • Cutting-edge information from top linguists in the nation.
